Our Coffee FAQs
What types of coffee do you offer?
We offer a variety of blended, flavored, and single origin specialty-grade coffees.
How fresh is your coffee?
All of our specialty-grade coffee is freshly roasted to order in small batches.
What is specialty grade coffee?
These are the highest quality coffee beans available. They have to meet a specific screen size, and generally have specific aromas and tasting profiles. While there shouldn't be any defects (i.e. broken/chipped beans, immature/unripe beans, fungus damage, insect damage, etc.) within a batch of specialty coffee, these can have only up to 3 full defects per 300 grams.
Where is your coffee sold?
We operate predominately online at the moment, but some of our coffees are now being sold in mom-and-pops across Indiana, Oklahoma, and California.
Our Brand FAQs
Why source your coffee through WCC?
Simply put, we prefer to start our days with great coffee - it’s fresh, no nonsense fuel for the whole ranch and our way of life. Get us a fresh pot of coffee and a fresh horse, and we'll conquer whatever trail and whatever the day throws at us. Learn more here: www.wranglercoffeecompany.com/pages/our-why
Why horses?
Why not horses? We choose to donate a portion of the proceeds from each sale to the EQUUS Foundation to help the equine companions that have helped us for generations. We've counted on them time and time again, now they can count on us. That's why we drink for the horses and ride for the brand.
Who is Wrangler Coffee Company for?
We're here for those who want to start their days right with a fresh, flavorful coffee that embodies the spirit of the Old West and a more intentional way of life that savors every moment.
Shipping FAQs
What are your shipping options?
We offer economy shipping at a flat-rate that is estimated to arrive within 5 to 8 business days and standard shipping (at a higher rate) that is estimated to arrive between 3 to 4 days.
How does your free shipping work?
We offer free shipping on all orders over $49.99. No need to add a code, this discount will automatically apply to eligible orders at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
We unfortunately do not. At this time, we currently only ship within the U.S. However, we are working on expanding our reach in the future!
Will my coffee fit in a standard mailbox?
It depends on what you order and how much. Our 12oz bag and 1lb bags generally fit most mailboxes, but the 5lb bags likely will need to be left at your doorstep or be picked up at your local post office / distribution center. If no one is available to receive the delivery, your carrier may leave a delivery notice.
Can I send coffee as a gift?
Yes, specialty-grade coffee always makes a great gift for any occasion. You can either ship the coffee to the intended recipient or send them an e-gift card. Unfortunately we do not have the capability of including a special message at this time, but are looking at ways to add such a capability in the future.

General Coffee FAQs
How much caffeine is in coffee?
It depends (especially on the variety, roast, quantity, and brewing method), however, a standard cup of coffee contains around 95mg of caffeine on average.
Do darker roasts or lighter roasts have more caffeine?
Dark roasts have more caffeine by weight, while light roasts have more caffeine by volume.
How many calories are in coffee?
Every 8oz of black coffee has about 1 calorie according to USDA estimates, however, adding milk, sweetener, or other flavoring can greatly increase the number of calories.
Can coffee dehydrate you or act as a laxative?
No, however, it may have a laxative effect on some people and generally speaking, coffee does not dehydrate you. While the caffeine in coffee can have mild diuretic effects, you are not losing more fluids than you are consuming - your body absorbs the fluids it needs and removes the rest.
What's the difference between decaf and regular coffee?
Regular coffee retains its natural caffeine content, while decaf has had a significant amount of it's caffeine removed. At WCC, we use the Swiss Water® Process which decaffeinates coffee using only time, temperature, water, and coffee itself.
Which has more caffeine, tea or coffee?
Generally speaking, coffee has more caffeine than tea, however, this can vary depending on the specific tea and brewing method used.
Is coffee good for your health?
We're no doctor, but it certainly helps us (and by extension, those around us). Allegedly, coffee consumption might be linked to a lower risk of certain diseases like type 2 diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and Alzheimer's disease. Keep in mind moderation is key with just about anything, and when in doubt, consult your own doc.
What are the benefits of drinking coffee?
Coffee can help provide a boost of energy, improve focus, and potentially even contribute to weight loss. Bear in mind, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.
Are there downsides to consuming coffee?
Excessive caffeine intake can potentially lead to anxiety, insomnia, and other negative side effects.
How is coffee grown?
Coffee plants are grown on farms, and the beans are seeds harvested from the plant's berry-like fruit. Most coffee farms are located in a region known as the "Coffee Belt" between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, primarily in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
Can I grow coffee myself?
Yes, but good luck. It takes about 3-4 years for a coffee plant to start producing cherries. A single mature tree can yield around 4,000 beans annually, enough for about one pound of coffee.
What are the different types of coffee beans?
While the exact number of coffee varieties is unknown, there are over 120 common varieties. The four main varieties of coffee beans are Arabica, Robusta, Liberica, and Excelsa - each with distinct flavor profiles.
