How to Craft a Couple of Coffee Cocktails

Regardless of the time of year, coffee cocktails are the perfect way to enjoy the rich flavors of coffee while also getting a buzz from your favorite liquor. In this post, we'll share some of our favorite coffee cocktail recipes that you can make at home.

  1. Espresso Martini: This classic cocktail combines the rich flavors of espresso with the smoothness of vodka. To make it, shake 1.5 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of our freshly brewed Thoroughbred Espresso, 1/2 ounce of coffee liqueur, and 1/2 ounce of simple syrup in a shaker with ice. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish with espresso beans.

  2. Irish Coffee: This warm and cozy cocktail is perfect for chilly evenings. Brew a fresh pot of our Appaloosa Cinnamon Hazelnut coffee, add 1.5 ounces of Irish whiskey and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar to a mug, and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Pour in the coffee and top with whipped cream.

  3. Mexican Coffee: Add a spicy kick to your coffee with this delicious cocktail. Brew a pot of our Azteca Mexican Chocolate coffee, and add 1.5 ounces of tequila, 1/2 ounce of Kahlua, 1/2 ounce of triple sec, and a pinch of chili powder to a mug. Stir well and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

  4. Coffee Old Fashioned: This twist on a classic cocktail uses coffee instead of water to create a bold and flavorful drink. In a glass, muddle a sugar cube with a splash of water and 2 dashes of bitters. Add ice, 1.5 ounces of bourbon, and 1 ounce of our Bourbon Barrel Mustang coffee, and stir well. Garnish with an orange peel.

  5. Spiked Iced Coffee: This refreshing cocktail is perfect for hot summer days. Brew a pot of our Icelandic Cold Brew coffee, let it cool, and add 1.5 ounces of rum, 1/2 ounce of simple syrup, and a splash of cream. Pour over ice and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Whether you prefer warm and cozy drinks or refreshing summer cocktails, there's a coffee cocktail for every occasion. So grab your shaker, your Enameled Steel Campfire Mug, and start experimenting with these recipes today!
